In addition to the recent months of drought and series of deadly wildfires in Chile. The capital Santiago is now battling with widespread flooding and landslides. This has caused water contamination to the River Maipo leaving millions without clean drinking water. Water is rushing down from the Andes cutting off access roads and leaving thousands of people isolated.

The government has taken emergency measures by disconnecting people, businesses and communities from their water supply. This has resulted in business interruption, with authorities ordering restaurants and businesses to remain closed until further notice.

Our team is on standby and ready to assist Insurers and Reinsurers with claims arising from these recent and ongoing events. Providing claims assistance for property damage, business interruption and multinational claims.

Concordia’s experienced Associates located in Chile, Santiago and the wider Latin America region, have experience of handling catastrophe claims and are available to provide assistance.
