Cyclone Debbie has battered Queensland and northern New South Wales with torrential rain up to 500mm resulting in major flooding.

Thousands of people have been ordered to evacuate, more than 2,000 schools closed and about 60,000 homes are currently without power, according to local authorities. There has also been major damage to buildings, sugar cane and tomato crops. Tourism trade has also been affected due to the excessive number of cancelled bookings.

Concordia Consultancy Australia together with our Associate Network in the region and London team are on standby to assist with claims arising from the disastrous storm. Our highly skilled and experienced team specialises in property, business interruption, marine and construction losses.

As well as offering adjusting and reinsurance reviews we also remain available to provide a range of additional services, including site surveys, project management, dispute resolution and risk consulting.
