Experience
David has been a Brown and Root Project Director involved with the design and construction of major worldwide offshore oil projects. In addition David was a co-owner and Director of an offshore engineering consulting company.
David has been responsible for the technical investigation, reporting and settlement of energy insurance claims including:
• Heavy oil pollution in the Loire region of France
• Onshore oil terminal explosion in the UK
• Paint failure on a FPSO offshore New Zealand
• US Gulf of Mexico Hurricane Ike onshore/offshore damages
• Heavy fuel oil contamination in central America
• Ship collision with platform in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea
• Platform damage due to Hurricane Katrina in the US Gulf of Mexico
• Gas transmission pipeline failures in the USA
• Various umbilical/riser failures in the North Sea
• Pipeline corrosion in the North Sea
• Xmas tree leakage in the North Sea
• Steel jacket fatigue failure in the North Sea
• Offshore paint system failure on Sable Project, Nova Scotia and litigation in Canada
• Onshore paint system failure on Sable Project, Nova Scotia and litigation in Canada
• Delay in Start Up claim for Sable Project, Nova Scotia
